Easter morning sunrise in Israel

The ship pulled into the port of Ashdod, Israel, as the sun was rising this morning.  The moon was still visible on the starboard side of the ship.

I have a "face to passport" immigration inspection as part of "Group 5" this morning.  Everyone has to meet the Israeli officials (but we do it aboard the ship).  They kindly do not stamp your passport because you cannot be admitted in many other Middle Eastern countries with such a stamp in your passport.

Happy Easter!  It's a beautiful and brisk morning in Israel.  I took this shot at about 6:40am on Sunday, April 5 (the blog time stamp is East Coast US time).

Sunrise on Easter Sunday in Israel:  This was the port side view as we made our way to docking in the port of Asdod, Israel.
