Halifax, Nova Scotia

I had previously visited Halifax and seen many of the tourist sites: Peggy’s Cove, Titanic graves, Halifax Gardens. These sites are beautiful, but I decided to find out more about the Bay of Fundy. The tour included the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Center. The river has one of the world's largest tidal bores, While the tide was out, the group searched for sea creatures (periwinkle, hermit crabs) and fossils. The Bay of Fundy is one of has the highest tides in the worl

It was a long day, but wonderful to walk on the ocean floor. This part is typically stone, but Hurricane Dorian resulted in sand being deposited in the tidal bore.

The next photos were taken at the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Center.

These photos were all taken at Burntcoat Head Park...

The guests had to sign waivers for the tour of the ocean floor.  No one was allowed to enter the caves that exist.
