King Neptune Ceremony

Here are a few of my shots from the fun and revelry at today's ceremony marking our crossing of the equator.

Staff holding court during the ceremony:  That's the judge, King Neptune and his queen, with the band as pirates.

New staff to the ship (and an equator crossing) were mistreated a little today as part of their initiation to the ms Amsterdam.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the fun and sun this morning.

The hotel director has to take the plunge.  He takes a few staff members with him into the pool.

The captain was a good sport and ended up in the water, too.  He and the officers determined who were to be dunked in the pool as part of the ceremony.

The "medical staff" administered the medicine to the participants in the ceremony.  Here's one of the room attendants.

... and another cruise accomplishment for future crossings!
