St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

Today was all about the views from mountain elevations.

The excursion included a short ride to the top of a mountain overlooking the dock.  It gave a chance to take a few pictures of the ship and the port.
We next boarded the chariot to travel across the island for an even taller mountain.  This gave a vantage point of both sides of the island as you made the climb in the converted truck’s converted truck bed.

The final stop was at Mountain Top was a one more panoramic view and a famous banana daiquiri.
Rain showers come and go, but it’s been a wonderful stop in one of the most beautiful US territories.

Although the trip in the night was choppy, rain clouds were disappearing at the ship pulled into St. John.

That's "Paradise Point" at the top of the sky lift in Charlotte Amalie harbor.

I think this is the first time I've had a converted truck as my transportation on an excursion.

All aboard for the 12 minute ride to the  top.

I'm at the top!  That's my ship to my left down in the harbor.

Four cruise ships arrived today.  Our ship came in first (Eurodam is the one with the blue hull).

Leaving Paradise Point to travel to the mountain across the bay.

A view from an even higher mountain on the other side of the island.

A view of Magen's Bay immediately below.  It's on the other side of the island.

Final stop on Mountain Top (and a banana daiquiri since it's world famous).

The day on St. John was great, and I dodge any showers.
