As I write this blog entry, I can see Cuba on the starboard side of the ship.
It's been a time for relaxing, reading, and attending lectures (along with my morning walk). I've refreshed my history knowledge by attending lectures on the rise of American imperialism, Che Guevara, and our various ports of call. I'm off to hear a lecture entitled, "At War with the Earth: The French, Suez, and Panama (Part I)" in a few minutes. The lectures have been excellent.
Stay tuned ... the ship is making its way to South America.
