Tonight the passengers on the ship turn clocks ahead 23 hours…

I’ve done this once before (2015), but it’s still weird to turn your watch and clock ahead 23 hours.  The ship will cross the International Date Line tonight.  So, the ship’s clocks will skip October 9 and tomorrow becomes October 10. At least we’ll get the day back when we cross back over the line in the South Pacific later in December (I believe we have December 8 two times in Samoa and then in US Samoa).

I was six hours behind the east coast today, but tomorrow my clock will be ahead of the folks back home.
