I’m late posting these photos. Our position within the fjord between two
mountains seems to have disrupted internet accessibility.
I’m taking a tour called “Fjords and Flowers.” The guide says the following about the tour:
“Driving among the mountains of Ísafjördur affords an excellent view of the
harsh local landscape, where narrow passes across sharp mountain ridges, deep
fjords shelter farms and villages huddled on narrow strips of land. The tour includes a visit to the very first
botanical garden in Iceland, which surprised folks by plants growing so far
north.” I’m looking forward to this
excursion.
