The ship has arrived in St. Anthony which is a tender
port. I will be going to L'Anse aux
Meadows which means “the bay with the grasslands.” This archaeology site is believed to be a
base camp for Norse/Viking exploration of North America, including regions to
the south.
The weather is much warmer.
It is expected to be in the 60s today, and the temperature is comfortable
as I step out to make the photos. It is so much warmer than in Iceland and Greenland.

The lighthouse is beaming its light as we move into the harbor. |
 |
Next to the lighthouse is the "Fishing Point Emporium and Sovenir" shop. |
 |
It seems that livestock and cemeteries have the best views in most communities. This one is next to the lighthouse. Another one sits on the other side of the bay. |

The first tender boat goes ashore to set things up for the day. |
