The ship arrived and docked in Akureyri, Iceland this
morning. According to Wikipedia, “It is Iceland's fifth-largest municipality, after Reykjavík, Hafnarfjörður, Reykjanesbær and Kópavogur, and the largest town outside Iceland's more populated southwest corner." I am headed out to take part in Godafoss Waterfall, Lava Labyrinth & Hot Springs.” The tour is Begin with a drive along the coast of Iceland's longest fjord,
Eyjafjörður, with an excellent view of Akureyri and its surrounding mountains.

It's a beautiful city with the snow capped mountains in the background. |
Waterfalls seem to be everywhere with the combination of elevation, snow, and warmer temperatures. |
There are lots of churches in these cities. Most of the churches are Lutheran. |
Another church, but this one seems more modern in style. |
