The ship was scheduled for one more stop in Iceland; however,
with dinner last night the captain announced that bad weather was expected on
Wednesday. It would not be advisable to
tender in the final port. So, he said we
would proceed at a slower rate with two days at sea rather than the one needed
to reach Greenland. His reasoning was that
with rough seas, a slower speed would be advantageous to the folks and the ship. The captain's prediction was correct, and the
ship has been rocking and rolling today as we slowly move back to Greenland.

Next stop is Nanortalik, Greenland. |

Our current position at 10:30 am on August 17. We skipped our planned Grundarfjordur, Iceland. |
