Day 4 in Antarctica and it’s mostly penguins…

The fourth day of Antarctica was a little better with regard to the weather (a little warmer and not snow), but the sea ice is increasing.  The captain brought us very close to the sea ice to see a small group of penguins.  I’m glad these ships are so maneuverable.  The ship, after the observation, did a 180 degree turn.  We’re now off for a two day sail to the Falkland Islands.

The main wildlife that was bountiful on the sea ice today was the penguin.  Sorry for so many pictures, but they are cute creatures.
The other main sight was the Esperanza Station which belongs to Argentina.  Note all of the satellite dishes… even “Directv” is one of the options.

We came within a few feet of the forming sea ice in order to see a group of penguins.

What does this iceberg look like?  I think a snoozing cat.

Hey, they have Directv.  Directv seems to be in most places in Latin America.

We are leaving the Antarctic Peninsula.  The next stop will be the Falkland Islands on Monday morning.
