As we prepared to depart Killybegs, the captain told us we
would reach the highest cliffs in Europe.
Slieve League of County Donegal Ireland is 1972 feet high; the
new Freedom Tower in New York City is 1776 feet high. He said we would get too close, but we would
have a great view. Here are my photos…
wish I had a better camera with telephoto lens.
"The Slieve League (Grey Mountain) cliffs, situated on the West coast of Donegal, are said to be the highest and one of the finest marine cliffs in Europe with a three hundred metre drop straight down into the wild, Atlantic waves below. This creates a breathtaking but extremely scary view".

The ship made its way to the Atlantic, and this was the final lighthouse as we moved toward Northern Ireland. |
