The tour group made the drive from Rosyth where we docked on
the Forth River (we were at the “Firth of the Forth,”
which translates to being at the mouth of the Forth River).
We reached Edinburgh for access to the Edinburgh Castle
which served the royalty of Scotland for centuries. Traffic very slow, and it was being
controlled because Queen Elizabeth was in town at Holyrood House (her
official residence in Scotland) which the bus passed as we made our way to the
castle.
Here are a few of my shots of the castle and the Scottish Parliament
Building which is a contrast in the old and the new.
The weather was great, and the ship will have a performance
of the “Music Scotland” with traditional music, dance and folklore prior to the
sail away at 6:30pm.
