Dinner in Cuzco

The group left the hotel for dinner and some traditional entertainment.

The food was great.  The Andean/Peruvian people developed the cultivation of potatoes, and they developed thousands of varieties.  They didn't serve them all tonight, but we had what they called "French Fries."  You can see them in my blurry picture (no flash was used so its blurry).

I'm now back at the hotel with the very fast wifi.  We leave at 7:30am for the train to Machu Picchu.

I give a big thumbs up to the Peruvian version of "French Fries."  They were gigantic and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.

The first act was with kind of scary masks that represented the Andean gods.

The costumes of the dancers were colorful.  They performed many traditional dances (each dance required a costume change) to traditional pan pipe music.
