Ushuaia, Argentina: The City at the End of the Earth

Ushuaia is the southernmost "city" in South America and the world.  It prides itself on being the city at the end of the earth, but I would say it is one of the most beautiful cities positioned in the southern part of Patagonia.  (There's a smaller town that is growing rapidly and it may displace Ushuaia as the southernmost city soon).

I will be off for an excursion called the 4x4 Road Safari to the Lumberjack Trail.  The weather is perfect right now, but it changes frequently in this part of the world.  It includes some off road vehicles and a walk in a forest.  Stay tuned for the photos of this adventure.

A view of downtown Ushuaia, Argentina, in the beautiful weather this morning (the weather changes frequently here).

This colorful church stands out among the buildings downtown.

We face downtown, and to the left is the airport with beautiful mountains as a backdrop.

Another photo of the downtown from the ship.
